Title: do schools kill creativity?

Sir Ken Robinson |·Author, educator

Have you heard the quote ‘“Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” it is disputed whether this came from Albert Einstein or not, you do not need to be Einstein to get this. When people are judged or not able to be and fulfil their natural desires, they need to heal this part of themselves, I see this in therapy every day. Be free, be you, let go of the boundaries you were pushed into as a child.

Creativity expert Sir Ken Robinson challenges the way we are educating our children, to cultivate creativity and acknowledge multiple types of intelligence.

Sir Ken Robinson makes an entertaining and profoundly moving case for creating an education system that nurtures (rather than undermines) creativity.

Title: my stroke of insight

Jill Bolte Taylor | Brain Scientist

Wow!! Here is a scientist who studied the brain to understand schizophrenia and mental health, witnessing the left and right brain hemispheres and the process of her own stroke. Right hemisphere is present moment, sensing the energy, oneness, perfect, wholeness, thinks is pictures and kinesthetic energy streams. Left brain , past, future, details, organising, associating, projecting possibility, thinks in language. What does it feel like to be free of 37 years of emotional baggage, stresses gone, peacefulness? To experience being the life force power of the universe, peaceful, compassionate, loving people.

When we understand our brains and when we have personal experience of feeling more whole, more free, more at peace, we get to live in a whole new way. Meditation creates more cohesive brain waves and connectivity between our left and right brain, so it makes sense that through practice we become more peaceful and live more from our hearts than our heads, we feel more connected and less separated. Through language and visualisation matrix therapy allows us to reprogram the parts of the organising structures and categorisations stored in our brain.

Here is a scientists experience of consciousness and onesness and the power we have to choose.

Jill Bolte Taylor got a research opportunity few brain scientists would wish for: She had a massive stroke, and watched as her brain functions -- motion, speech, self-awareness -- shut down one by one. An astonishing story.

We all carry unresolved emotions and beliefs from our past. Life becomes better from the inside out when we work through them and allow them to be released.

To all appearances, Eleanor Longden was just like every other student, heading to college full of promise and without a care in the world. That was until the voices in her head started talking. Initially innocuous, these internal narrators became increasingly antagonistic and dictatorial, turning her life into a living nightmare.
